What throws a wrench in wedding day timelines?

In my experience, there are two things that can really mess up a wedding day timeline!

  1. Your Getting Ready Timeline - Sometimes we think of this as your normal getting ready routine and forget your getting hair, makeup, extensions, eyelashes all of the extra things done!

We want you to look and feel your very best on this special day that you’ve spent planning for MONTHS - so give yourself a realistic time for getting ready! Keep in mind how many makeup artists/hairstylists you have compared to your bridal party as well and what they want to get done! This might need to be scheduled earlier to make sure your day runs smoothly from the beginning

2. Your Family Photos - This is something you don’t really think about until you’re mixed up in the moment of it all. Put together a list of all the family members and family photos you want to be taken beforehand and share this with your photographer and videographer.

Ex: Bride with Bride’s Mom, Bride with Brides Siblings (Joe, Kate, & Sam), Bride & Groom with Brides Siblings and their Significant Others (insert all their names)

Pick someone or two people to put in charge that know these family members and can wrangle them up, get them filed in and out to get in all the photos that you want!

Let these people know you plan to get professional pictures with them and have your officiant announce at the end of the ceremony that they need to stick around for photos. (Nothing is worse than a July wedding trying to hunt down grandma and Uncle Joe at cocktail hour while the sun beats on you and the whole family is ready to take the picture)

This will usually mess up the bride and groom’s time for photos and if we get through these quicker the more cocktail hour you get to enjoy with your guests!
